Overview
Say "Hello!" to Frankie, our custom-built Ford Transit. As woodworkers, climbers, and travel enthusiasts, we handcrafted every detail of this build with a mind for comfort, usability, and unique Oregon touches: from the reclaimed wood countertops to sourcing the Zena' hardwood flooring used at PDX. We've also included a comfortable 3rd seat installed by a local upfitter, perfect for travelling with a child, or for a small group.
Thanks to Frankie's smaller size, 360 backup camera and extended mirrors (which fold in while parked), you'll find it very easy to drive compared to some larger vans. Frankie is powered by a stout twin turbo V6 and never feels slow to drive. Frankie has AWD with snow- rated tires, and while she isn't designed for intense off-roading, she is more than capable on a forest road.
When you're parked for the night, relax on Frankie's sliding bed frame with a HEST Long mattress (Full-sized; 78 x 50 x 3.9 inches) and included sheets, pillows, Pendleton throw and a comforter. The sliding bed is operated manually and is elevated 4ft off the ground (step ladder included).
Frankie is powered through a Bluetti APEX 300 and charged via a Bluetti Charge 2 (800w inverter). You can comfortably use the battery for 2 days without needing to charge it (timeframe depending on use).
You'll find 2 Maxxair fans in the ceiling to help keep the air circulated and cooler. We hope to have a heating solution installed before the winter, however late-summer - autumn in Oregon is renowned for its mild temperatures and we can confirm the current setup works great for staying warm at all temperatures.
For the water system, you will find two easy-to-carry Dometic 3 gallon clean water jugs that easily connect to a USB chargeable Faucet/pump. You will find a spacious RV sink that drains into an easily accessible grey water tank. When renting the van we'll get you started with a full tank of water.
Please no smoking or pets!
