<b>About the area:</b> Katla lives on a farm in the heart of Cheddar in Somerset. There is so much to see within only a stones throw. Literally next door is Cheddar Ales brewery and tap room. And next door to the farm is the very popular Petruth Paddocks Campsite. Only 1 mile away are the famous Cheddar Gorge and Cheddar Caves. 6 miles away is Wookey Hole. 13 miles away is Glastonbury Tour. And Bath (& Train station) is only 22 miles away. With Bristol Airport only 11 miles away and Weston super Mare mainline Train station only 13 miles away. Cheddar in Somerset is the perfect gateway to touring Devon and Cornwall. <b>Description of Beds:</b> Katla sleeps up to two people. Being a super compact micro camper, the bed is a cosy 102cm wide and 182cm long. The rear sofa folds over to provide a comfortable (flat) bed with 10cm thick memory foam mattress. We provide sleeping bags or you are welcome to bring a duvet. <b>Description of Seating:</b> There are two belted seats in the front (including driver), perfect for couples. <b>Description of Electrical Setup:</b> Katla has a clever compact electrical system. There's a 100w solar panel on the roof, feeding an 85w deep cycle leisure battery via a split charger system. There is also a 240v shore line hook up providing power to the induction hob and a standard (uk) 240v plug socket. There are USB power points, 12v downlighters, fairy lights, feature lights, powered cold water tap. Electrical extractor roof fan/vent. <b>Parking:</b> There is parking where Katla lives. The farm is gated overnight for security. The gates are normally closed between 8pm and 8am. <b>Kitchen Facilities:</b> Katla has a very compact kitchen, with an induction hob (240v hook up), sink with 12v pump to the tap. There is also a single gas burner that you can use to cook outside. The kitchen has a kettle, 2 mugs, 2 glasses, 2 wine glasses, 2 bowls, 2 plates and cutlery. There is also an 8 litre electric cool box run via the leisure battery. <b>Bathroom Facilities:</b> Katla has a powered cold water tap, with water provided by a 5 litre tank. There is an external skin fitting to top up the tank. <b>Audio Equipment:</b> There is a 9" touch screen LCD display, Android 16, Radio with built in sat nav that also hooks up to your phone. <b>Type of Heating:</b> 5KW Diesel Air Heater With APP & LCD Display control panel. <b>Pet Information:</b> No pets. <b>Conversion Story:</b> She started life as a hire van! She seams to like the role and looks forward to being a lady of leisure now. Converted in 2026 by 3 former Architects, the concept being the super compact micro campers of Iceland. With much thought, Katla is designed to be the easiest and most fun touring camper in Cornwall & Devon.
