<b>Location:</b> Kōtare lives in Manurewa, South Auckland, around 20 minutes from Auckland Airport and 25 minutes from the CBD. If you're driving your own car, parking is available at the owner's home while you're away. <b>In The Cab:</b> 3 belted seats up front and a user-friendly automatic transmission make for relaxed, easy driving. A reversing camera takes the stress out of parking up, and Kōtare runs on diesel. <b>Kitchen Area:</b> Everything you need to cook on the road, including a gas cooker and sink, plus all the kitchen basics, cutlery, pots and pans. <b>Dining/Living/Sleeping Area:</b> A flexible space that works hard for you. In day mode, with the bed folded away, there's plenty of room to sit, read or work. In night mode, the bed folds out to a comfortable 1.9m x 1.35m, sleeping 2. Lighting runs throughout the living area. <b>Water Facilities:</b> Kōtare is green-sticker certified self-contained, with a fixed toilet onboard plus 25 litres of fresh water and 25 litres of grey water, so she's all set for freedom camping. <b>Electrical/Lighting:</b> Solar power and a leisure battery keep you self-sufficient off-grid, with lighting throughout the living area to see you through the evenings. <b>Type of Heating:</b> An electric heater is available as an optional add-on at the time of booking, perfect for keeping things cosy on cooler nights. <b>Outside:</b> An awning gives you shade and shelter for relaxing outdoors. Outdoor chairs, a table and an outdoor shower can all be added at the time of booking. <h3>Conversion Story</h3> Kōtare is the latest addition to Stephen and Suzanne's beautiful Quirky camper family. Named after the kōtare, New Zealand's native kingfisher, she takes her cue from a bird as striking as it is at home wherever it lands, all vivid teal-blues and warm, sandy tones, patient and easygoing and never happier than when out exploring the coast and countryside. Much like her namesake, Kōtare is calm, characterful and ready for adventure.
