THINGS TO BE CAREFUL OF, please:
# Do not, under any circumstance, turn on the water pump switch on the wall next to the stove. It will burn out the pump since it is only to be used if one is boondocking/wilderness camping and have filled the fresh water tank.
# The kitchen knives are in a slot holder behind the stove and are very sharp. Please be cautious when using them, particularly if there are small children or rambunctious doggies around. Please scrub the knives clean right away after each use with the provided dish brush and soap, towel dry, and store them back in their slot.
# Speaking of knives, please always use one of the thin plastic cutting sheets from on top of the kitchen cabinet before cutting on any surface. Please DO NOT cut directly on the butcher block counter extension or the white plastic board on top of the kitchen sink (made of plastic cutting board material). Basically, before cutting anywhere, PLEASE use the cutting sheets/boards.
# You're going to want to wash dishes if you cook at all. Unfortunately, the "gray water" tank can fill up quickly if you use a lot of water for washing, in the bathroom, ESPECIALLY if you use the shower as well! We recommend you consider washing dishes in the collapsible blue silicon bucket behind the toilet, then rinsing them in the white collapsible container inside the sink before setting them to dry using the drying mat on the dining table. Or wash them outside with the spray hose! You can keep an eye on the fresh, gray, & black water tanks by pressing the buttons on the console left of the stove.
# On the other hand, the black water tank may not fill as quickly, particularly if you and your family are able to use the facilities at a campground where you're staying. You don't need to be stingy with the water when you flush. If you do have to poo, after you've flushed, please add a scoop of the Happy Camper powder and flush it with a good amount of water in the toilet bowl. (Step part way to fill the bowl, then all the way to flush it. After, step on it a bit again so there's some water at the bottom of the bowl creating a good seal to keep out odors.)
# The refrigerator takes a while to cool down to an appropriate temperature. We help it along by filling the freezer with frozen ice chest packs. Hence, we provide 2 bags of ice in the cooler for anything that absolutely must be kept cold before the fridge is at temp. There is a temperature sensor in the fridge with a wireless readout under the microwave. When the temperature gets to the point you need, you should be able to start using the fridge as normal, with the understanding that it's a small fridge so the cold will escape very quickly if it is left open at all. (You'll want to be mindful to close the fridge very well - not slamming but pushing it well closed.)
# Don't forget to ventilate if you cook with the gas stove even if it's frigid out!
