    Why People Visit:

Los Angeles, or "The City of Angels", is one of the largest, most sprawling, diverse, cultural and well-known cities in the world. As the home of Hollywood, most people have seen the skyline or the Hollywood sign more than once while watching a movie, and thousands of people come to experience the glitz and glamour themselves. As home to a staggering amount of actors, aspiring actors, comedians, musicians, as well as all-around talented individuals, the Art, Comedy, Theater, and Music scenes are world-class. Each night will be a challenge deciding what to do. Into surfing and beaches? Los Angeles has over 70 miles of beaches you can visit to soak in some of that California sunshine and head home with a Hollywood glow. Visit the Santa Monica Pier or Venice beach for endless entertainment and food. Speaking of food, Los Angeles has some of the best food in the country. Many restaurants have become "must-see" attractions themselves (think Spago or Pinks Hotdogs). Consider taking a food tour to chow down on a variety of options in a short time. Bringing the family? You have Universal Studios and Disneyland at your fingertips for days of memory-making opportunities with the kids. Chances are, you won't even scratch the surface of the vast city of LA in one trip and you will be ready to come back. So book your vacation rental today to get that first trip on the books!

    Get There and Get Around:

Los Angeles has one major airport, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is 20 miles from downtown Los Angeles. But given the size of the city, there are multiple other airports that may work depending on what area you are visiting. Long Beach (LAB), Hollywood-Burbank (BUR), Orange County (SNA), or Ontario (ONT) are all options that will get you to the Los Angeles area. Each airport offers a variety of car rental options. The LA area also has a very large Metro system with busses and trains. Check out their Metro Trip Planner to find your best options for getting into and around town.

Getting around town? Utilize the public buses and subway, or rideshare companies. If you are driving yourself, factor in time for the legendary LA traffic! Your best bet is to pick a hotel that is near the attractions you want to see and head out earlier than what you would think.

    What to Wear (The Weather):

Los Angeles has wonderful, temperate California weather.  Lots of year-round sunshine and little rain keep people flocking to the sunshine state. September has the highest temperatures, while December and January are the coldest and wettest. If you're heading to the beach, it's always a good idea to pack light layers as it can get chilly and breezy at night.

    Accommodations:

Los Angeles has around 32,250 vacation accommodation options to choose from. Apartment rentals make up close to half of vacation rentals with an average nightly price of $225 for around 1200 square feet. These can typically accommodate 3-4 people making it a good option for smaller groups or families. House rentals make up the rest of vacation rentals with an average price of $350 per night for about 1800 square feet. Whatever you're looking for, there are plenty of options in Los Angeles to choose your next vacation rental.
